I am Director of Developer Communications and a Principal Engineer at The Paciello Group (TPG). I believe the web is better and stronger when we work together, and that the W3C is better and stronger when we work together; if I am re-elected to the AB I will continue to champion this philosophy at every level.

I joined the Protocols and Formats WG (now called the Accessible Platform Architectures WG) in 2010, as a self-funded Invited Expert (IE). I was then responsible for my employer at the time joining the W3C and was their Advisory Committee (AC) representative until 2013 (Nomensa remains a W3C member). I became TPG's first AC representative in 2014, and was elected to the Advisory Board (AB) in 2016.

I participate in several groups including the Accessible Platform Architectures WG, and the Accessibility Guidelines WG (formerly known as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WG), making sure that the needs of TPG's customers are given a fair hearing in the development of standards that affect their work and life. I have been Co-Chair of the Web Platform WG since 2015, where I make sure that all participants are given that same opportunity, whilst making sure that we release standards on a regular timetable. I also participate in the SVG WG, and I am working with members of the WebVR IG to propose a W3C workshop on inclusive design for VR on the web.

During my first term on the AB, I focused on activities to help people participate at the W3C. For example:

• I helped make it simpler to work with the W3C Patent Policy by ensuring that tools for tracking IPR through Github are easy to work with.
• I identified the tools being used across the W3C, highlighting applications and services that are common to many WGs, and exploring the challenges some tools may cause WG participants.

I believe in the spirit and values of the W3C, but I also recognise that the W3C must evolve if it is to remain relevant. If I am re-elected to the AB I will:

• Represent the interests of the many small and medium size organisations participating at the W3C.
• Encourage even greater inclusion and equality across the W3C.
• Bring perspectives from the people and organisations that use W3C standards every day.
• Continue to help make the W3C Process lighter, easier, and more agile.
• Help the W3C adopt a more relevant and modern work mode.

• 把那些在日常工作生活中真正使用到 W3C 规范的用户的诉求更好地传达到 W3C；
• 使 W3C 的工作流程更轻量、更简单、更灵活；
• 帮助 W3C 制定一个更加融洽和现代化的工作模式。

Je suis actuellement Directrice de Communication des Développeurs et Principal Engineer au Paciello Group (TPG). Je crois que le Web est meilleur et plus fort lorsque nous travaillons ensemble, et que le W3C est meilleur et plus fort lorsque nous travaillons ensemble; si je suis réélue à l'AB je continuerai à défendre cette philosophie à tous les niveaux.

J'ai rejoint le Protocols and Formats WG (maintenant appelé Accessible Platform Architectures WG) en 2010, en tant qu'Expert Invité indépendant (IE). J'étais alors responsable pour mon employeur au moment où j'ai rejoint le W3C et étais leur représentant à l'Advisory Committee (AC) jusqu'en 2013 (Nomensa reste un membre du W3C). Sou Diretora de Comunicação com Desenvolvedores e principal engenheira do The Paciello Group (TPG). Acredito que a web é melhor e mais forte quando trabalhamos juntos, e que o W3C é melhor e mais forte quando trabalhamos juntos; se eu for reeleita para o AB, continuarei a defender essa filosofia em todos os níveis.

Entrei para o Grupo de Trabalho Protocols and Formats (agora denominado Grupo de Trabalho de Accessible Platform Architectures) em 2010 como Especialista Convidada (IE) por financiamento próprio. Eu era então responsável pelo meu empregador no momento em que me juntei ao W3C e era seu representante no Comitê Consultivo (AC) até 2013 (a Nomensa continua sendo membro do W3C). Tornei-me a primeira representante do AC do TPG em 2014 e fui eleita para o Conselho Consultivo (AB) em 2016.

Yo creo que la web está mejor, y más fuerte, cuando trabajamos juntos, así que el W3C está mejor y más fuerte cuando trabajamos juntos. Si se me eligen otra vez al Advisory Board, continuaré de promover la realización de ésta filosofía a todos niveles.

Empecé en el grupo de trabajo ¨Protocols and Formats¨ (ahora ¨Accessible Platform Architectures¨) en 2010, como experta invitada bajo mi propia inciativa (y pagado desde mi propio bolsillo). Despues, conseguí que la empresa dónde trabajaba, Nomensa, se hizo miembro del W3C, y fuí su representante en el Advisory Committee (AC) hasta cambiar empleo en 2013. (Nomensa sigue siendo miembro activo del W3C). Fuí la primera representante AC de TPG, empezando en 2014, y fuí elegido al Advisory Board (AB) en 2016.

Participo actualmente en algunos grupos. En Accessible Platform Architectures WG y Accessibility Guidelines WG (antes conocido como Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WG), mi papél es de asegurar que las necesidades de los clientes de TPG estan bien representados en el desarollo de estándares que les afectan directamente en sus trabajos y vidas.
